Directions
This is a sweet cornbread recipe, for those who prefer the taste of sweet, warm, melt in your mouth honey buttermilk cornbread! This recipe is a hit for any family event, and will have family members coming back for more!

Preheat the oven to 400 F. Lightly grease a 9-inch cast iron skillet or square pan with butter and place into the oven to heat up. (Allow the butter to cool slightly before adding to the batter.) |

-In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together- flour, cornmeal, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. |

Add buttermilk, honey and eggs. Mix together. Add melted butter, slightly cooled. Continue to mix until all ingredients are combined. Be careful not to over mix batter. |
